Tennis Sends Girls to Districts

Senior Madeline Becker is taking her swing to score points for her team in singles competition.

The girls’ tennis team most currently won the Hawkeye-10 conference and sent their varsity team to Districts. 

The team members continued to work on setting goals for the remainder of the season. 

“My goals are to place as a doubles team at state and become a better player,” said senior Ashley Goy. 

Coach Callie Ohm also has big goals for the remainder of the season.

“My goal for the team is to finish in the top half of the Hawkey-10 and Improve their skills each time the team steps foot on the court,” said head coach Callie Ohm.

Improvement has been a theme this season.

“The girls have shown improvement in playing doubles and their net play,” said Ohm.

The next challenge for the girls was to get ready for the girls’ Hawkeye Ten Conference Tournament. 

The girls finished off their regular season, strong scoring first place in the Hawkeye Ten Conference on May 10.
