Junior Christian Delaney definitely cares about school but is also passionate about playing in the band Dysfunction.

“The band has taken my mind off of school, and music is my escape from life,” said Christian Delaney. “Whenever I am feeling stressed, I pick up my guitar and I let my problems temporarily disappear.”

They will have a concert at the Davies Amphitheater in Glenwood Lake Park on May 8 at 7 pm.

The show is free to watch, and there are concession stands to purchase beverages.

The band performs music stemming from the 1970s-2000s rock and roll. They cover all different types of bands such as Guns N’ Roses, Poison, Motley Crue, Kiss, and more.

Christian Delaney, Nicholas Delaney, and Jaxon Tyson created Dysfunction in May 2020. The idea of starting a band wasn’t serious at first, but as time went on the band members realized it was something they really wanted to do.

The members of “Dysfunction” love playing together and playing for other people. As the members became more serious about music, they booked their first show in the summer of July 2020.

The members of the band include; Christian Delaney (Lead/Rhythm Guitarist), Jaxon Tyson (Lead/Rhythm Guitarist), Nicholas Delaney (Drummer), Brandon Julich (Bassist), and Chandler Delaney (Lead Singer).

A special guest, “DJ Be Strong”, is going to perform alongside the band.
