The Lady Rams’ golf began to practice the week of March 15. With 21 members, the team has a strong foundation to build their success on this season.

Many of the team members see golf as a chance to learn a new skill and spend time with friends as well as compete in an engaging sport.

“I like the team itself,” said senior Hannah McGinnis. “All the girls are so sweet, they make practices and meets worth going to and playing the sport.”

Head coach Maria Jacobus plans to lead the girl’s team this season.

Though there is a chance for many personal wins and tournament medals, many join the sport for enjoyment.

“My goal for the season is to have fun with people I know, playing a sport we like,” said freshman Allison Cannon. “Even though people think golf is a boring sport, it’s so much fun.”

The lady rams’ golf team consists of freshmen Cannon, Gracie Isenbart, Avery Joyce, Katy Plambeck, Emily Walters, and Faith Weber; sophomores Kaylyn Book, and Carissa Groom; juniors Sarra Leath, Reagan Rappley, Victoria Simpson, and Presley Turner; and seniors Maggie Begbie, Sophia Benson, Hannah McGinnis, Morgan Stanislav, Carmen Strosinski, Haley Woods, Cheyenne Groom, Zoe Howell, and Grace Minchew.
