The following is an announcement regarding COVID-19 from Superintendent Devin Embray:

Due to the immediate release from the Governor’s office on behalf of Iowa Public Health recommendations, Glenwood Community School District will be closed for four weeks starting Tuesday, March 17, 2020 through April 13, 2020. We will be coming out with further guidance for parents tomorrow, however, with such short notice we feel parents need a day to plan for their families. We will consider our re-entry date closer to that date as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic. Kids Place will also be closed pending direction from local and state authorities but will remain open through tomorrow March 17. There will be further guidance concerning activities tomorrow. We are also working with the state legislature regarding the potential for K-12 elearning.  If that goes through we will communicate to parents and students our plan.  Should elearning not happen, we are canceled through the 13th of April. Staff are to report to work Monday March 16, 2020.
