First Time Donors Win Award
April 30, 2019
Glenwood’s blood drive has attracted a record number of new donors to help give blood to people who need it. Because of this accomplishment, the Red Cross awarded the school with the Rookie Promoter Award.
“The awards were given based on territory, and my territory is South West Iowa, Glenwood High School had the highest numbers in the territory for first time donors,” said Red Cross Representative Carrie Hauschild.
This award is only given to schools that have a large number number of people donate to a good cause, and this award shows the selflessness of students and faculty that decided to donate for people that need it most.
The next GHS blood drive is Thursday, May 9 from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please come give and help save a life.
