December has finally arrived! As the temperature drops and the snow begins to fall, people will probably want to spend some time indoors. Luckily there are eight new movies coming to theatres this month.


All The Devil’s Men

People who love action movies should check out “All The Devil’s Men”. Directed by Matthew Hope, “All The Devil’s Men” tells the story of a bounty hunter named Collins who is on the trail of a rogue CIA operative trying to gain possession of a weapon of mass destruction. “All The Devil’s Men” promises intense gunfights and action scenes and will hit theaters December 7.



DC fans will be happy to hear that “Aquaman” will premiere in U.S. theaters on December 13. Directed by James Wan, “Aquaman” takes place after the recent “Justice League” and stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, who is trying to prevent the people of Atlantis from going to war with the Surface Dwellers. “Aquaman” has already made its debut in London and has received very good reviews.


Into the Spiderverse

Spiderman fans should get excited for “Into the Spiderverse”, the new Spiderman movie. Directed by Peter Ramsey, Robert Persichetti Jr., and Rodney Rothman, “Into the Spiderverse” brings many different Spidermen and women from different universes together including Spider Gwen, Spiderman Noir, and Spider Ham. “Into the Spiderverse” will premiere in theaters on December 14.


Mortal Engines

Set in a post-apocalyptic future, “Mortal Engines” takes place in a world terrorized by the city of London which is now a massive city on wheels, devouring everything in its path. The only people who stand a chance of stopping the city of London are Hester Shaw, a mysterious woman trying to avenger her mother, and Tom Natsworthy, an outcast born and raised in London. “Mortal Engines” was directed by Christian Rivers and premieres December 14th.


Mary Poppins Returns

Fans of the original Mary Poppins movie should be excited to watch the new Mary Poppins sequel. “Mary Poppins Returns” is directed by Rob Marshall and is a direct sequel to the original Mary Poppins movie that was released in 1964. Mary Poppins will be played by Emily Blunt and the movie is set to release December 19 in the U.S.


Bumblebee” is a spin-off of the Transformer movies and is directed by Travis Knight. Set before all of the Transformer movies, “Bumblebee” tells the story of Charlie Watson, who stumbles upon the transformer named Bumblebee. “Bumblebee” will hit theaters December 21 and stars Hailee Steinfeld as Charlie Watson and John Cena as Agent Burns.


Second Act

Jennifer Lopez stars in a new movie called “Second Act”. She plays Maya, a 40 year old woman who desperately wants a promotion. But when she uses a fake resume to get a new job at Franklin and Clarke Inc., she get a taste of her dream life. But will she be able to keep up the charade for long? “Second Act”, directed by Peter Segal, will come to theaters December 21.



From Director Adam McKay comes “Vice”, which tells the story of Dick Cheney’s life, the CEO of Halliburton Co. He becomes the Vice President after George W. Bush, played by Sam Rockwell, wins the election. Dick Cheney, played by Christian Bale, then uses his new power to shape the economy, military, and foreign power of America. “Vice” will hit theaters on December 25.
