The boys swim season officially kicked off November 5.

Returning swimmers from Glenwood include seniors Kamron Alexander, Mason Parks and Jacob Parks and sophomore Dylon Cox. Mason Parks and Alexander qualified for State last year and plan on going again.

“I was fortunate enough to go to state last year with an incredible team for the 200 Medley Relay,” said Alexander. “I would like to be on our state team again, hopefully for individual events this year.”

Though the team lost a few swimmers, everyone is still optimistic about the season.

“We lost a lot of good personality and some great swimmers last year,” said Alexander. “I think we will do okay as a team this season though.”

Glenwood swimmers travel to Lewis Central every day after school to practice with swimmers from other schools that fall under the Lewis Central team.

The boys won their first dual meet against Abraham Lincoln on November 29 and lost their second to Ralston December 11.
