Every month, Ramily Matters asks for nominations and then a secret selection committee selects the recipient. The goal of this organization is to make co-workers feel like an extension of their family at school. The winning recipient for this month is middle school special education teacher Kelsey Miller.

Sarah Rozniecki and Liz Sutherland are in charge of the Ramily Matters organization. Rozniecki is proud of Miller for receiving this award and agrees that she greatly deserves it.

“For those of you who do not have the pleasure to work with Kelsey Miller, she is an amazing team player and is always thinking outside the box in how to support kids,” said Rozniecki.

Middle school staff members agree that the experiences Miller gives to students are active and meaningful.

Ms. Miller embodies, on a regular basis, the idea of building relationships with students and families. She is willing to support students through being a co-leader of the Middle School Student Council. She is constantly trying to get students excited about reading which is a passion of hers.  I cannot think of a time or an area where Ms. Miller is not willing to help out or support in any way she can, the idea of building relationships,” said colleagues at the middle school who remain anonymous.

Miller’s passion to help kids, and the way she is able to build relationships with kids is a great quality for all to embody.
