Each month, Glenwood staff members are nominated to receive an award for their hard work and dedication. Ramily Matters helps to recognize these recipients. So far this year, four nominees have been chosen: Northeast secretary Janie Hammer, middle school English instructor Karen Bueltel, high school English instructor Robin Hundt and Northeast head custodian Dan Jaworski.

Liz Sutherland and Sarah Rozniecki began the Ramily Matters Staff Member of the Month Award this year to honor staff members. “Ramily is the idea that the people we are with at school are like an extension of our family, and our staff plays a major role in Ramily,” said Rozniecki.

Each month, the two gather nominations from all buildings. Next, they invite a non-biased, outside person to read over the nominations and choose a winner. Nominations come from staff members who want to boost each other’s morale. The winner then receives a letter expressing the community’s appreciation for his/her dedication and a certificate.

“Each of these people has impacted our kids and our staff in ways that are too great to put into words,” said Rozniecki.
