Q: Where did you grow up?

A: I grew up in San Diego, California


Q: Where did you go to college?

A: San Diego State University.


Q: Did you want to pursue a different career before you became a teacher?

A: I wanted to be a piano major at first, collaborating with people who sing. I love to play the piano in church when everyone is singing.


Q: Have you taught at another school before you came to Glenwood?

A: I have taught at many schools including Alvin, Texas; Bellevue; Papillion La Vista; Tekamah; Louisville; Millard; Elkhorn; and I have also taught visually impaired students braille.


Q: What do you like most about Glenwood?

A: I really like Newman’s grocery store, it makes me really happy. I am not opposed to going to No Frills grocery though. I am an equal opportunity shopper.


Q: What is your favorite thing about the library?

A: The thing I love most about the library is the books. I love books, and I love printed items that don’t go away when you change the screen.


Q: Do you have a favorite book out of all the books in the library?

A: My favorite book in the entire world is a book called Christy by Catherine Marshall.


Q: Do you have any pets?

A: I have three dogs, named Lucy, Beanie and Cho Cho. Lucy is my old lady Chihuahua, and Cho Cho is my little rescue dog. I got Beanie from the Poodle Rescue of America.


Q: What is your favorite food?

A: My favorite food would have to be gummy bears.


Q: Would you be willing to give up your throne to Mr. Luther when you retire?

A: I would be glad to give this job to Mr. Luther.


Q: Who would win in a one-on-one fight: a polar bear or a silverback gorilla?

A: My guess would be that the polar bear would win the fight, though I’ve never met either animal.
