    Glenwood Varsity Jazz Band made it in the top two qualifiers and is advancing to the championships. The 18th annual Dick Bauman Jazz Festival took place on February 19. In this competition, 32 bands from all over Southwest Iowa participated, including middle schools. The top two bands in each high school class are automatic qualifiers for the Iowa Jazz Championship, which will be held April 5. “Glenwood has placed in the top two each year since 2004.” s...

    On Friday, January 25, Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA)  released new football districts which will be in place for the 2018-2019 seasons. The new 3A districts consist of nine, six team districts. Glenwood is placed in district #9 along with Adel Desoto Minburn, Creston, Glenwood, Harlan, Lewis Central, and Winterset.     The girls basketball team traveled to Clarinda January 23 and hosted undefeated Lewis Central January 26 then traveled to Creston January 30 and to Harlan February 2. Glenwood went 3-3 in their final two weeks of regular season play.
