    New Athletic Stadium Fails to Receive Bid, Project Put on Temporary Hold

    Glenwood’s plan to construct a new athletic stadium has been delayed for the time being. The $4.9 million project was opened for bidding October 11, but did not receive any bids from construction companies around the area. Glenwood Athletics Director Jeff Bissen explained that the Youth Action Committee (group in charge of overseeing the project), as well as some of Glenwood’s administration must revisit the original plan in order to move forward...

    Demolition of the current football stadium (pictured above) was set to begin in early October by Mark Hughes Construction, but was delayed until further notice.

    Glenwood’s volleyball team is bringing their share of wins with a current record of 14-9-0. Sophomore Elle Scarborough, senior Brielle Smith and Junior Joslyn Lewis lead the team sets, kills and kill efficiency, respectively.  The Lady Rams have gone 3-4 in their last seven games.
