    Color Guard ended their season with a trip to Des Moines for the State Dance Competition on December 1. This team of 13 girls placed fourth out of the 11 Division II schools competing. “They did a great job in their execution,” said first-year coach Jacqueline Johnson. “I love that they got to see some success and I hope this will launch the program into next year with some excitement.” The team performed “A Swarm Redemption”. ...

    The boys’ basketball ball team opened their season with two wins last week. The third-ranked Rams picked up a 73-25 blowout victory at home over CB Thomas Jefferson to begin the 2017-18 campaign. Junior Christian Stanislav led all scorers in Glenwood’s home opener, dropping 18 points.     The Iowa Association of School Boards bestowed three awards to Glenwood Community School Board on November 16.
